You've
probably already heard that after five seasons of shiplap and wise
cracks, Joanna and Chip Gaines are saying "goodbye" to their hit show, Fixer Upper. "It is with both sadness and expectation that we share the news that season five of Fixer Upper will be our last," they wrote on their blog.
Sure,
we're bummed, but we're also prepared to make the most of the final
episodes, complete with watch parties and a ban on double screening -
and we think you should too. To get you excited, here's everything we
already know about season five.
1. The Gaines are leaving to focus on their family.
Even
though rumors have been swirling about why the Gaines are quitting the
show, there's no drama: "For people, they think there's got to be a
reason, like, 'Oh, something bad happened and therefore that's why
they're leaving the show.' I think it's just hard for people to
comprehend, no, we're just leaving because it's right instinctively for
us and our family. No negative reason," Joanna told The Huffington Post.
