According to project engineer Shiba Khanal, BLA Shrestha JV Construction Company and Supreme Rautaha JV Construction Company have been slapped with a fine for causing delay in the completion of the 32.2-kilometer project.

These companies failed to complete the works even in the extended deadline. Now they have the deadline (third) until February, 2018 to complete works.
In April 2015, the project had signed a contract with three companies including these two ones to complete it within the two years. Besides, they will be given additional 45 days for works to adjust time that was disturbed by landslides, rains and elections.
