Light feast outside polling centre [photo feature]

Dec 7, 2017-Some voting centres in Biratnagar of Morang district looked interesting today as political parties organised light feast outside the voting stations to their cadres and voters in an apparent move to lure them to vote in their favour.
While the voters were queuing up in the lines, political parties were distributing special Tarai dishes comprising of beaten rice, chickpeas, potato chop, pakoda and tea.

The act was not officially protested as the tradition of distributing foods to the voters from few days ahead of the elections to the Election Day has become a customary practice in Madhes.
Leaders and cadres of various parties were seen feeding the voters in their respective tents. Some voters took the opportunity to taste the food available in different tents.
