Why Steelers' 1st touchdown vs. Patriots shouldn't have counted

The Pittsburgh Steelers tied the game, 7-7, midway through the first quarter during their game against the New England Patriots.

But should the play, an Eli Rogers’ 18-yard touchdown reception, have counted?

The referees threw a flag on the play, then picked it up and announced there was no illegal receiver downfield. But it appeared Pittsburgh had multiple ineligible receivers downfield, via a tweet from NESN analyst and former Patriots linebacker Matt Chatham.
