Famous celebs to headline Fire-truck Expedition Nepal

Dec 19, 2017-Fire-truck Expedition Nepal, a tourism promotional campaign which aims to invite 25 world-renowned celebrities, is slated to take place in September, 2018.  Spearheaded by Michael Kobold, the watchmaker who designs and produces the Kobold watches, the campaign will have celebrities travel around Nepal in fire-trucks.
The expedition will begin from Birgunj and last for 4-5 days till the team reaches Kathmandu via Pokhara, Gorkha, and other popular tourism hubs in the country.
Alongside Nepali celebrities in the likes of Manisha Koirala, Rajesh Hamal, Sunil Thapa, Shristi Shrestha and the bandmembers of the rock band 1974 AD, the expedition is slated to feature international celebrities such as the Silence of the Lambs star Scott Glenn, former American Ambassador to Nepal Scott H Delisi, noted mountain summitteer Russell Brice, artist Michael Imperioli, actor Malcom McDowell, rock guitarist Nuno Bettencourt and photographer Martin Hartley, among others.
Kobold said that he is also hoping to invite celebrities like Johhny Depp, Bradd Pitt, Lady Gaga and Salman Khan as well.  “By welcoming them to Nepal, we will be attracting the whole world,” Kobold said at an event held to promote the tour in Pokhara over the weekend.
Kobold has been planning the expedition since 2010 but the event was postponed due to various reasons. Kobold has already obtained 10 fire-trucks necessary for the expedition and has been using crowd-funding to raise funds for the tour.
Kobold is a German national and an entrepreneur based in the US.
