NOC hikes fuel prices

Dec 19, 2017-Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs one with effect from Tuesday midnight.

As per the revised rate, the petrol will cost Rs 101 per litre while the prices of diesel and kerosene have been adjusted at Rs 78 per litre each, NOC spokesperson Birendra Goit said.

The prices were adjusted with the increase in fuel prices in the international market, NOC said.

With the price hike, NOC profit stands at Rs 2.67 per litre in petrol and Rs 15.27 in a litre of kerosene. However, the NOC is selling diesel at a loss of Rs 1.74 per litre.

NOC has stated that there is no change in the fuel prices of cooking gas and aviation fuel.

A cooking gas cylinder costs Rs 1,350 while a litre of aviation fuel costs Rs 87 for domestic flights.
